This is the best homemade taco seasoning recipe! It is easy to put together with seasonings you probably have at home in your pantry. It is easy to put together if you ever run out of seasoning packets.

I like to make my own seasoning mixes because I like to have control over the ingredients I’m feeding my family. This taco seasoning recipe is so good because it is very flavorful. My family likes spicy tacos but if you are not such a spice fan, you can reduce the amount of cayenne pepper to just a pinch. This taco seasoning blend uses coarse kosher salt, but if you don’t have that, substitute regular table salt. When I use table salt, I reduce the amount by 1/4 tsp.

This homemade taco seasoning recipe is for 1 lb. of ground beef. It can be multiplied evenly for more meat, or made ahead of time and stored in a sealed container in your pantry. This is also the perfect seasoning for any dip or recipe that calls for taco seasoning.
