Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs

These bacon wrapped hot dogs are an easy to make meal that is a fun twist on regular hot dogs. They are simple to make and require very few ingredients. You only need bacon, hot dogs and buns! Bacon wrapped hot dogs are a great way to use up a partial package of bacon you may have leftover from another recipe or just to make regular hot dogs a little more fun for an easy weeknight (or any night) meal. Best of all they have bacon, because who doesn’t love bacon!
All you need for these bacon wrapped hot dogs is a package of hot dogs, a package of buns, 8 slices of bacon (one slice per hot dog) toothpicks, a cookie sheet with raised edges (to keep the bacon grease contained), a wire baking rack and some parchment paper or foil for the bottom of your baking sheet.
Wrap your hot dogs with the bacon and secure ends with toothpicks so the bacon stays wrapped and bake in oven at 425 for approx 30 min.

Equipment
- 1 Baking Sheet use one with raised edges so the bacon grease doesn't drip out
- 1 Parchment Paper foil can also be used
- 8 toothpicks broken in half
Ingredients
- 8 Hot Dogs
- 8 Slices of Bacon
- 8 Buns optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper or foil (for easier clean up)
- Set wire rack in baking sheet – keeps hot dogs raised up out of the grease drippings while cooking
- Wrap each hot dog with one slice of bacon starting one end and wrapping in a spiral down to the other end, securing each end with a half of a toothpick to keep bacon in place
- Set bacon wrapped hot dogs on wire rack in baking sheet
- Bake in oven at 425 for 30 min flipping hot dogs after 15 min
Notes
- Adjust cooking time based on how crispy you like your bacon
- Any type of bacon can be used, but thick sliced bacon will take longer to cook
- Any type of hot dog or sausage you like can be used
