Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet use one with raised edges so the bacon grease doesn't drip out
  • 1 Parchment Paper foil can also be used
  • 8 toothpicks broken in half

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Hot Dogs
  • 8 Slices of Bacon
  • 8 Buns optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425
  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper or foil (for easier clean up)
  • Set wire rack in baking sheet - keeps hot dogs raised up out of the grease drippings while cooking
  • Wrap each hot dog with one slice of bacon starting one end and wrapping in a spiral down to the other end, securing each end with a half of a toothpick to keep bacon in place
  • Set bacon wrapped hot dogs on wire rack in baking sheet
  • Bake in oven at 425 for 30 min flipping hot dogs after 15 min

Notes

  • Adjust cooking time based on how crispy you like your bacon
  • Any type of bacon can be used, but thick sliced bacon will take longer to cook
  • Any type of hot dog or sausage you like can be used
