I love this French onion dip recipe! It is perfect for potato chips, veggies or anything else you like to dip. I enjoy simple home made recipes because you are in control of the ingredients you use.

There are many reasons I find it important to be in control of my ingredients. You can modify for allergies or other diet needs and restrictions. I also like that I can control sugars, sodium, food coloring, preservatives and words I can’t pronounce to name a few.

This French onion dip recipe is quick and easy to make. It only takes a few minutes to mix together. I recommend making this dip ahead of time, at least an hour. That will give the flavors time to mix together and also will give the dried onion time to soften up.

This dip recipe comes together easily with just sour cream and some pantry spices. That is great since you probably have at least some of the ingredients on hand already. This is a very budget friendly recipe!
