Fluffy Homemade Pancakes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 cup milk any kind you like
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • 1 Skillet
  • 2 Medium Mixing Bowls
  • 1 Measuring Spoons
  • 1 Measuring Cups
  • 1 Skillet or large flat bottomed pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat skillet to medium. Lightly grease skillet with some vegetable oil.
  2. In a medium size mixing bowl, whisk together your milk, applesauce, vegetable oil and vanilla.
  3. In the other medium size mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk together.
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry. Stir batter. Some lumps are fine.
  5. Pour batter onto skillet using 1/4 cup measuring cup. Once you have bubbles on the surface that begin to pop, (about 2 min) flip pancakes. Cook for additional 1 to 2 min. until both sides are a nice golden brown.
  6. Remove from skillet and top with toppings of your choice. Serve immediately.
