One Pot Swedish Meatballs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup Diced Onion about 1/2 a small onion
  • 2 tbsp Parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 32 oz Chicken Broth 1 carton
  • 3/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 4 cups Egg Noodles 1/2 of a 16 oz bag

Equipment

  • 1 5 qt Dutch Oven or large pot
  • 1 Measuring Spoons
  • 1 Measuring Cups
  • 1 Large Mixing Bowl

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk, Worcestershire sauce and egg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape into 12 meatballs (about 2 inch)
  3. Over medium high heat, melt butter in your Dutch oven or large pot. Add meatballs and cook for 8 to 11 mins. Gently turning occasionally so that all sides brown.
  4. Add broth, heavy whipping cream, salt and pepper. Stir in noodles and return to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, and simmer for about 15 to 18 minutes, stirring occasionally until meatballs are cooked through (165 degrees) pasta is tender and sauce begins to thicken.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in parsley
  7. Serve

Notes

  • Be sure to stir regularly once noodles have been added so they don't stick to the pot.
